We are excited to host 24 Virtual Network Gatherings this year. Network gatherings are taking place before and after conference and many are INVITE ONLY, those that are open to new guests will be updated in Sched. To learn more about Network Gatherings go here.

We offer a sliding scale registration rate so that the conference can be accessible to as many people as possible. Please support the AMC by giving generously with your registration contribution.

Important update: During the first 80 minutes of this program we will screen the film Through the Night. Unfortunately this film is only available for a limited capacity of registered AMC attendees who sign up via sched. (Once you sign up you will receive a private link for viewing the event online.)

The second half of the program includes Standing Above the Clouds, select Radical Remedies videos, followed by a conversation moderated by Cornetta Lane Smith (DNA) featuring Loira Limbal (Through the Night), Jalena Keane Lee (Standing Above the Clouds), Oriana Powell (Mothering Justice), and Siwatu Salama-Ra (Freedom Team).




Mothering and Caregiving for Liberation

Join Detroit Narrative Agency for the screening of 2 films focused on Mothers and Caregivers as part of their Ethics and Aesthetics Film Series.These films honor Black and Indigenous Mothers and Caregivers, and portray them in their full complexity and power. Screening followed by moderated conversation with filmmakers.

Standing Above the Clouds by Jalena Keane-Lee: Standing Above the Clouds follows Native Hawaiian mother-daughter activists as they stand to protect their sacred mountain Mauna Kea from the building of the world’s largest telescope. (15 min.)
Through the Night by Loira Limbal: Through the Night is a verité documentary that explores the personal cost of our modern economy through the stories two working mothers and a child care provider - whose lives intersect at a 24-hour daycare center. (75 min.)

These films will be preceded by select videos from DNA’s Radical Remedies: Collective Healing and Power Through Story.
