Shea Howell is a Detroit based activist and writer with the Boggs Center, Detroit Independent Freedom Schools, and Riverwise Magazine. She is a member of the National Council of Elders and is a professor of communication at Oakland University.

Dakarai Carter is a Detroit Summer alumnus and current coordinator. He also works at the Boggs School and is a board member with the James and Grace Lee Boggs Center.

Marisol Teachworth is the Programming Director at the Boggs School and coordinates the after-school program, Place-Based Education alignment with teachers, arts enrichment classes, and special events. She has worked also as educator with Detroit Future Media and Detroit Summer.
